Greetings
from the Town of Fishkill Supervisor's office! My name is Joan A.
Pagones and I am pleased that you have taken the time to visit the
Town of Fishkill website.
Many of the challenges facing the Town of Fishkill are due to its
phenomenal growth, both residentially and in our business community.
Our local area chambers, the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of
Commerce, the Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Commerce and the Beacon
Business Association. These are great resources for those of you who
are new to the area.
We are blessed to have many amicable and friendly residents who care
about this community and each other. We have volunteers serving in
many different civic and volunteer organizations including: Rotary
Club International, Exchange Club, Rombout Fire House, Fishkill Engine
Company, Chelsea Fire District, Glenham Firehouse, Dutchess Junction
Firehouse, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts,
Leaders-by-Choice, Interact Club, Youth Leadership Programs and the
Fishkill Historical Society, - just to name a few. We try to bring
that same welcoming, caring feeling to our Town Hall, and encourage
you to visit us or call with any question you may have concerning Town
government, or how we may serve you better.
The Supervisor's office is responsible for the day-to-day management
of Town government and represents the highest serving elected official
in the Town. The Supervisor's office is open from 8:00am until 5:15pm
Monday through Thursday, however please feel free to call my
office, 845-831-7800 ext. 3309, at any time. Both I and my staff are
often here early or staying late to meet with our residents.
The Supervisor's Office also has responsibility for the fiscal
integrity of Town finances, and the Supervisor is the chief fiscal
officer for the Town. I am pleased to report that while the size of
our budget has grown, we have been able to reduce the Town portion of
your bill by keeping manpower cost to a minimum and seeking grants
where they have been possible.
