The Town has begun the Water Meter Replacement project. This is a multi-phase project to replace antiquated water meters in the homes and businesses throughout the Town. It is necessary for the Town of update the water billing infrastructure in order to improve efficiency and accuracy. For residents, the current water metering system relies on a sensor on the outside of the house, connected by wire the meter on the inside of the house. The outside sensors are vulnerable to damage over time which can lead to inaccurate billing. Additionally, the Town's method for capturing water meter reads prior to each quarterly billing cycle is outdated and inefficient.

water Meters Measured the velocity of the water flow and convert it into the amount of water flow. They operate based on the principle that water passing through a known cross-sectional area having a measured velocity is proportional to the volume of water flow.

Every drop of water used by your family is recorded by your water meter. Record the reading at the same time each day to track any water loss and note any changes. You can switch off every fixture in your house and wait for the meter to move to confirm the presence of a leak. If no one in your home is using any water, but the meter still moves, there is probably a leak.

Water meter is very important in every household. Not only that it tells our consumption, but it also gives us an idea if we have unseen leaks along our pipeline.
