The Town of Fishkill is sponsoring a Free Halloween Decoration Contest for Fishkill residents. The Town wishes to further encourage residents to participate in community activities, and with millions of American families celebrating this festive season with carved pumpkins, spooky decorations and other autumnal scenes, the Town wants to recognize Fishkill families that go above and beyond to make properties a sight to behold.
To participate, please fill out the fillable registration form below and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than Friday, October 30, 2020 to be entered. Contest winners will be presented with a festive proclamation at the Town's November 4, 2020 Town Board Meeting. For the full list of rules, terms and conditions, please see below.
Re: Levy of Unpaid Water & Sewer Charges
The Town has begun the process of creating a list of unpaid water and sewer charges for inclusion on the 2021 tax bills in accordance with the provisions of Town Law §§198(1)(k), 198(3)(d) and General Municipal Law §452(4).
This past June, the Governor signed into law a bill that requires the Town to provide water and sewer customers the opportunity to enter into a deferred payment agreement without late fees or penalties when a customer has experienced a change in financial circumstances due to the Covid-19 state of emergency. This Town Board has already authorized the waiving of late payment penalties for water/sewer invoices since the beginning of the pandemic. Under the law, customers must affirm to the Town that they have experienced a change in financial circumstances as a result of Covid-19 starting on or after March 7, 2020.
We encourage customers to contact the Water Department at 831-7800 extension 3314 or via email at email@example.com to request an extension of time to pay and removal from the levy list due to the Covid-19 state of emergency.
