Please be advised, the following Public Hearings will take place at the Special "On the Run" Town Board Meeting at Mount Gulian Historic Site - June 16, 2021 7:00 PM:
The Town Board of the Town of Fishkill has set Public Hearings for the 7:00p.m. Regular Town Board meeting on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. These Public Hearings are for proposed amendments to the local laws in the Town Code which govern Zoning and Subdivisions.
Chapter 150, which relates to Zoning law, will be amended to remove ambiguous language and reflect the best good-faith zoning practices as recommended by the Town Engineer. Chapter 132, which relates to Subdivision of land, does not currently recognize a difference between a lot-line realignment, which simply amends the boundaries of existing parcels, and a subdivision, which divides an existing parcel to create new parcels. Chapter 132 will be amended to establish this difference and streamline the process for applicants who do not seek to create new parcels. Please note this amendment will not allow new lots to be created under the lot-line realignment process.
